The Wellness Centre (Castle Quay) Team are excited to welcome yet another experienced practitioner to join us…
Agatha E. Penney (She/Her)
MA Phil, AccCOSRT, UKCP & BACP PgDip Psychosexual & Relationship Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor
(Independent Practitioner)
Agatha grew up in Poland where she completed a Master’s Degree in Philosophy at the department of Social Science. In 2005 Agatha moved to Jersey, where she worked as a Police Officer, and also trained to become a Counsellor and NLP practitioner.
To further her education Agatha later moved to London where she graduated from the renowned London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy (accredited by Middlesex University), and went on to advance her studies by achieving an accredited status from COSRT, UKCP and BACP and becoming a Clinical Supervisor, and a Gestalt-trained group facilitator.
Agatha spent the first few years of her career practicing in London, from a busy centre in Marylebone and Marble Arch, alongside experienced colleagues and mentors before moving to Devon. Finally, in 2025 a long-term plan to relocate back to Jersey came to fruition, where Agatha has joined forces with the Team at The Wellness Centre (Castle Quay).
Agatha specialises in working with individuals, couples and diverse relationships facing a scope of psychosexual and relationship challenges, including intimacy issues, male and female sexual dysfunctions, infidelity and trauma. Agatha also holds special interest in neurodivergent presentations, especially ADHD.
Enriched by her cultural background and life-experiences, Agatha utilises depths of understanding on how diversified roots of origins may impact relationships and sexuality. She works humanistically, integrating a range of approaches with a focus on the uniqueness of each individual.
Agatha’s warm, sensitive, yet gently challenging therapeutic style helps her clients to feel safe and supported, whilst facing the complexities of their experiences and exploring even the most uncomfortable of contents.
As a practitioner she delivers a transformative, in-depth process that goes beyond surface-level change. Agatha’s Psychotherapeutic journey prepares her Clients for gaining new layers of awareness and making space for shift and sustainable changes. She possesses a unique ability to create a connectedness based on confidentiality and acceptance that provokes reflection. When working with Agatha, there is no risk of criticism or judgement, but there may be gentle challenges with potent developmental feedback, which through empowering dialog promotes healing and growth.
Outside of her clinical work Agatha enjoys spending time with her family in nature, taking long walks, practicing yoga, sea swimming and expressive arts.
If you’re looking for a therapist who offers depth, warmth, and a fresh perspective, Agatha would be honoured to walk this path with you.
