April Marques is an experienced ITEC Level 5 Sports Therapist and Reflexologist at The Wellness Centre in St Helier, Jersey. She also holds a Diploma in Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling) and has extensive additional training in sports massage, soft-tissue techniques, reflexology and complementary therapies.
Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, April has an international academic and professional background. Her career began in hospitality and tourism, where she worked with international hotel groups and gained experience as an Assistant Spa Manager in Jersey. It was through the hospitality and spa industry that her interest in massage therapy and wellbeing developed.
After moving to Jersey in 2015, April trained at Highlands College as a Swedish Massage Therapist before progressing to VTCT/ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage, achieving Distinction, and subsequently ITEC Level 5 Sports Therapy, achieving Merit.

As part of the multidisciplinary team at The Wellness Centre, April can also work alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists and other therapists where appropriate.
Professional & International Experience
April was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and has an international academic and professional background.
She holds an MBA in Hotel and Tourism from Thailand and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Hotel & Events Management from Switzerland. Her hospitality career included working for international hotel groups and as an Assistant Spa Manager in Jersey.
Her experience in the hospitality and spa industry played an important role in developing her interest in massage, wellness and therapeutic care.
April also works remotely as a freelance translator, using her language skills in English, Thai and French, and has contributed wellbeing articles and newsletters to professional organisations including the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the Association of Reflexologists.
Supporting Cancer Awareness & Complementary Care
April’s interest in supporting people affected by cancer is also informed by her own personal experience as a cancer survivor.
She is a member of the Cancer Advisory Patient Strategy Group (CAPS), contributing to work with Jersey health authorities around improving cancer services. She also volunteers with Macmillan Jersey, providing complementary therapies.
This involvement reflects April’s wider commitment to compassionate care, wellbeing and supporting people through different stages of their healthcare journey.
Life Outside the Clinic
April enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. She particularly loves long walks and swimming in the sea, making Jersey’s beaches a favourite place to relax.
She also enjoys travelling with her husband, exploring new destinations and discovering new restaurants and different cuisines.
Her international background, love of travel and passion for wellbeing are all important parts of the person she brings to her work.
