Improve your brain’s performance with Neurofeedback…

A safe, natural and scientifically researched therapy!

What is Neurofeedback - a safe & natural therapy…

Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) is a non-invasive process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological responses in their body by the direct feedback and monitoring of their brain waves. The human brain emits electrical activity in waves that can be measured by a device called an electroencephalograph (EEG). The results of an EEG measurement are recorded by a specialized computer program and are analysed by a trained therapist.

The aim of Neurofeedback is for you to take control of your brain’s reactions and be able to manipulate these at will to help manage conditions such as stress, addiction, anxiety and fear. A qualified therapist can help you learn self-regulation of your brain function thus increasing control of physical responses in order to achieve your personal well-being goals. With training, this method can help an individual to improve both health and performance with long term benefits.

Neurofeedback is a self-regulating method that utilizing the brain’s plasticity (ability to permanently change) to allow a client to change their behaviours and routines, as well as fight fears, addictions, anxiety and stress.

What to expect during a Neurofeedback session…

BrainwavesDuring a Neurofeedback session, sensors placed on a client’s head (non-invasive) to help measure their brainwaves. This information is rapidly and accurately displayed on a computer screen utilizing specialized programs that provide instant feedback to the user. This feedback will ‘reward’ specific responses by the client and consequently training the user by positive reinforcement (operant conditioning). The presentation of this information (often in conjunction with changes in thinking, emotions, and behaviour) supports the desired physiological changes. Over time with continued practice, a client can continue to benefit from these improvements in their health and performance without the support of technology.
