Your Second Visit to Our Jersey Practice

Now that we know what your condition is we are able to proceed with treatment (15 mins). On your second visit we will recap on our previous meeting, and try answer any questions you may have. Once we are happy that you have understood everything we will begin. Most treatments will begin with approximately 5 minutes of soft tissue work. We utilise a range of techniques i.e. (acupuncture, massage, ultrasound, etc..), which are designed to relax tight muscles, and prepare restricted joints for mobilisation and/or manipulation. Before we do anything more we will always explain the 'adjustment' process to alleviate any fear and/or misconceptions you may have about spinal manipulation. Rest assured it is safe, it is effective, it is efficient, and in the vast majority of cases it is completely painless. Once finished we will often prescribe a series of stretches which are specific to one's problem area. At the end of this treatment we will often schedule a 'treatment plan' which will give you priority appointments. As the clinic is very busy we will often pre-book you 2-3 weeks in advance so that you can have the best appointment times to suit you. Usually the last thing that will be done is to revise the stretches that we have given you before and then... that's it we're done...!

Your Regular visits will not be as long as your first or second visits to Jersey Chiropractic Centre.

Adrian & Andrea Asks some important questions of interest to Jersey residents - Chiropractor Jersey Adrian & Andrea Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Jersey parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
