Craniosacral Therapy at {PRACTICE NAME}Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)

What is Craniosacral Biodynamics?

BCST is an emergent form of Craniosacral therapy pioneered by my teacher, Franklyn Sills. Craniosacral Biodynamics is the name he gave this approach. It offers a more subtle way of connecting, respecting, listening and being in relationship with the people and the world around us.

It creates a particular a holding space for the client where he/she is not treated with techniques, checked out for difficulties and pathologies, or gets fixed, repaired and healed. It’s more about accessing and enhancing the body’s inherent health.

Your body knows how to heal.
It gives priority to primary slow-motion healing processes. Your body is the most intelligent resource available for healing yourself. Our deepest healing occurs when we pay attention to that intelligence that in turn facilitates whole-body changes from within.

“The Way”.

Franklyn often used to talk about the ancient Chinese philosophy of Tao – or “the way”, relating the concept to Craniosacral Biodynamics practice. Taoism teaches that nature, and all things part of nature, flow in an effortless rhythm.

When we let go of resistance, release the need to try, make an effort, of pushing, we may find this natural flow. We connect with Tao. Taoism teaches that this connection with the natural flow is where peace and happiness exist.

If we could come home at the end of our day and slow down, and drop into a place where thoughts or expectations disappeared, without any friction, our body would begin to unwind. We would truly relax, our cells would restore, rejuvenate and regenerate to their optimum level. Tension would melt away, releasing restrictive muscle and fascia patterns, and the fluid in our body would flow with ease, cleansing and nourishing our cells.

Harmony would be restored, allowing energy to be freely available. We would discover our centre, the core of our being, our true nature. We would remember ourselves – returning to balance, and our inner essence. All of this is a practice, to be developed over time. BCST supports this intention.

Ripple effects – Engaged healing.

It does require a more engaged and active participation in your own healing process to be effective in the long term. One of the most significant aspects of Craniosacral Biodynamics is this reorientation toward health, safety, and life. Really, it’s about rediscovering a deeper relationship with life, that can ultimately affect everything from your pain levels to your life choices.

Thus, Craniosacral Biodynamics is a subtle, energetic and profound hands-on therapy that interacts with the whole body system on many levels. It is particularly helpful as a holistic healing approach to injury, trauma, nervous system, and neurological/physiological-emotional issues.
